How we create your custom song

  1. The first step is to tell me about your relationship with the recipient of your gift, and for me to understand the musical direction of your project. We’ll discuss your reference songs (you can choose one or two that have elements in them you feel are relevant to how you’d like your own project to sound).
  2. After we’ve created the music and lyrics you‘ll receive a demo (a bare bones version of your song) to listen to. At this point we’ll talk again (or email/Skype if preferred) and discuss your thoughts on the song, then make any agreed changes. During this part of the process we’ll also talk you through decision making about the musicians needed, preferred vocalist, artwork and so on.
  3. Once the basics of the song are finalised, we move on to recording the chosen combination of instruments and vocals. You are more than welcome to attend the recording sessions. You may have a musical or lyrical talent yourself, or want to involve a friend or relative who’s musical – a collaboration to truly reflect your wishes for the song.
  4. After recording, the song is mixed and sent to you for final approval. After that, mastering (the final process) is carried out by world- famous Abbey Road Studios in London. Vinyl cuts can be supplied if required and we can even organise a musician or band to perform your song at an event or function of your choice.
Jeremy Freedman - Composer

“I strongly believe that the key to creating perfectly tailored songs is client involvement. This is why we provide as many opportunities as possible for feedback and discussion during the writing and recording process. We keep you involved the whole way through – the goal is to make sure the experience is collaborative, worthwhile and above all, fulfilling and fun!”
